David P. Pisani
of Vestal
David P. Pisani, 52, of Vestal, loving husband, father, son and brother, died at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, Saturday, August 9, 2008, after a short battle with leukemia. Pisani; also several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts; and uncles, including a special Uncle Ralph Ferris. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott, and worked for Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals for 26 years, where he was well known and loved by many friends and colleagues throughout the Southern Tier medical community. Dave was an avid N.Y. Giants fan and hosted weekly game day parties at his home, where diehard Giants fans were always invited and where losing a game was never an option. Dave's friendship, kindness and laughter will be dearly missed by all.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 9:30 a.m. from St. Anthony of Padua Church, Odell Avenue, Endicott. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Dave's memory may be made to a college fund for his children at Tioga State Bank, P.O. Box 1254, Vestal, N.Y. 13850, Attn: Pisani Children College Fund.

Dave (or "Pudge" as we knew him). You were a great friend. We didn't stay in touch enough after Brockport. But we talked, and laughed. Man we could laugh. I remember trudging through the snow trying to register from classes. We were so tired we just laid in the snow laughing. When the Yankees won the first series back in the late 70's, Pudge was out in front cheering them on. I swear "sweet Lou" heard him all the way from Brockport. Those years were outstanding and they went by way too fast. I envy those that enjoyed Dave's friendship for all these years. He was easy to be friends with. Good bye old friend.

Needless to say, we were shocked to hear of Dave's passing. Our most sincere condolences to all of Dave's family. "Pipes" was always good for a laugh. As an integral player on our many softball teams (E&T, OT's, TJ's), he always kept us grounded and entertained. He loved having a good time and shared that with those around him. On one of our trips to Saratoga RaceTrack, Dar and I ran into Dave and his posse (John B, JO, Frankie P....), we only went up for a day of races, but ended up having dinner and laughs with them til 2 in the morning. Boy did those guys love to feast....it was a great day and one we will always remember. I'll place a bet for Dave at this years Travers. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. We will keep Dave in our memories.

Dear Pisani Family,

I would like to express my deepest sympathies to your family. I knew David (and Rudy) since I was a child through my brother Jack Beaudette and growing up down the street from David and Rudy's parents house on Irving Avenue.

I moved away from Endicott in 1982 and would occasionally see David at various Sunday football or horse racing get togehters when I retunred to Endicott on visits.

David was always kind, considerate, a true gentleman and of course a great person to be around. He will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To the Pisani Family: Dave was a wonderful person and friend. My thoughts go back to our childhood and playing football and baseball next to our house with Rudy and my brothers. As we grew older, I frequently saw Dave in the course of his sales position. I will always remember his laugh and his sense of humor. I could usually count on seeing him at Consol's when I returned home to Endicott. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I truly do not know where to begin. Our sincere hearfelt condolences to all who loved Dave; he will truly be missed and always remembered. He was an exceptional friend. I was blessed to have known Dave the majority of my life and observe the loving friendships that developed with the "north side" boys: my brother Terry Roma, Bob Longo, Jack Beaudette, Tony Roma, to name just a few. These memories will live on forever. There are so many stories that can be shared but I'll take the liberty to focus on just one....it happened back in the summer of 1975 in the Flying Machine when Dave welcomed me with his warm, loving smile and commented that I was "sizzlin' that evening." He concluded that my nickname would be "Sizzler" and to this day that nickname lives on. Thanks Pudgie...I know you'll keep everyone smiling in heaven. We will miss you dearly....our thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family.

Dear Pasani Family, I will always remember Dave as a very caring and understanding person. He was a very professional and dedicated drug rep. I will never forget his smiling face as he marched into the office proudly with his product and spedies in hand. Dave was truly a ray of sunshine! The physicians always seemed to make time for him as he always had a "new" product to sell. (lol, yeah right Dave:)) He will be so sadly missed but I hope the Pisani Family will find comfort in God as He makes no mistake. He is the beginning and the end and everything is in His plan. Dave touched many lives and one day I look forward to seeing his smiling face again. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To the Pisani Family, I want to express my heartfelt condolences on David's untimely passing. It is so difficult to understand. I can't even imagine what you're going through. Dave was an exceptional and valued colleague. I have known him since 1989. As a FNP at BU Health Services, he detailed me almost monthly. His expert detailing of his products, his dependability, reliability & availability could not be surpassed by any other pharmaceutical rep. Most of all, I will miss his friendly nature and humor. Again, my heartfelt condolences

I haven't seen David in many years since moving out of the Souther Tier, but reading through this guest book it's clear that he was, to the end, the same loveable gentleman I remember. Over and over again, you'll hear the same thing; Dave was always smiling, always had a funny story to relate, and was simply a pleasure to be around. I'm sure I speak for all my siblings (Jack and Marie Shea's 7 kids) when I say that it was a pleasure and a blessing to have known David. Our condolences, best wishes, and prayers go out to David's entire family.
