John Patrick
of Binghamton
John Patrick, 87, of Binghamton, died Monday evening, August 11, 2008, at Binghamton General Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Anna Patrick; and his brother, Joseph Patrick. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gloria Patrick, Binghamton; his sons, Gary Patrick, Daytona Beach, Fla., Bruce and Maureen Patrick, Endicott; his granddaughter, Cara and Joseph Dattoria, N.J. He was a member of St. James Church, Johnson City, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as a Tank Commander. John and his brother, Joe, were the proprietors of Mountain Top Grove for over 37 years. He was a member of the Bill Flynn Polka Club and enjoyed cooking. Special thanks to Theresa Lindsley, Anita Miller, Mercey and John Monico and the Transitional Care Unit at Binghamton General Hospital.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. James Church, Johnson City, Monday at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Sunday from 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of John may be made to St. James Church Memorial Fund, 147 Main Street, Johnson City, N.Y. 13790.
