Daniel William Sack, 36, of Hendersonville, N.C., went to be with the Lord August 24, 2008. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Diana Clark; and his mother, Andra Sack. Dan was an avid outdoorsman who especially loved to fish. He is survived by his estranged wife, Vicky and his son, Zachary Hipp, both of Hendersonville; his father, Dominic Sack and wife, Patricia, Whitney Point, N.Y.; his brother, David Sack and wife, Patricia, and their two children, Whitney Point, N.Y.; his sister, Cammie Sack and her children, Binghamton, N.Y.; and many friends and family from both North Carolina and New York.
The family will receive friends and celebrate his life Friday, August 29, 2008, from 4 – 7 p.m. at Crab Creek Baptist Church, 72 Jeter Mountain Road in Hendersonville. A memorial service will be held at a later date in New York. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 120 Executive Park Bldg. 1, Asheville, N.C. 28801; or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1401-B Old Mill Circle, Winston Salem, N.C. 27103.
