Rose M. Garrison
of Greene
Rose M. Garrison, 73, went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2008 at Valley View Nursing Home, Norwich. She was born June 19, 1935, daughter of the late Valentine and Flora Kircher in Johnson City. She was also predeceased by two husbands, Robert Henry Scone and Thomas M. Garrison. Rose is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert C. and Ruth Scone, Johnson City, John T. Scone, Binghamton; daughter and son-in-law, Irene M. and Henry DeJager, Smithville Flats; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Louise Van Steenburg, Eleanor West and Alice Schnurbusch; four brothers, Arnold, Valentine, Joseph and John Kircher; several nieces and nephews. Rose was an active member of Immaculate Conception Church, Greene. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church, Greene. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Montdale, Pa. Friends of the family may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Root Funeral Home, 23 N. Chenango St., Greene, N.Y. 13778. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Valley View Manor Nursing Home, 40 Park St., Norwich, N.Y. 13815.
