Curley; her parents, William and Edna Flynn; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Harry Ketchoyian; and sister-in-law, Nancy Flynn. She is survived by her children, Susan and Tony Kollar, William and Christine Curley, Maureen and Bob Mooney, Michael and Marykay Curley, Bobbie and Bill Speight, Joanne and Carl Bettis; her grandchildren, Patrick and Tiffany Kollar, Eric Kollar and fiancée, Pamela, Maureen Kollar, Sarah, Katie and Allison Curley, Conor and Kristina Mooney, Michele and Andrea Curley, Billy, Jessica and Meghan Speight, Jacob, Ryan and Taylor Bettis; great-granddaughter, Adrianna Kollar; her sister, Marjorie and Gordon Holmes; a brother, William Flynn; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of SS. John and Andrew Church, Binghamton, and a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren, great-granddaughter, her home on McNamara Avenue, with all its wonderful memories, her dogs and the NY Yankees. She taught us all how to face life's challenges with grace, dignity and an ever present sense of humor. There was never a more beautiful mother! Our gratitude to the devoted staff of Good Shepherd Fairview Home for providing genuine friendship and affection and warmth of home in their care of mom. Also to the staff of North Tower 3 at Wilson Memorial Hospital for their comforting care.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at SS. John & Andrew Church, Vestal Avenue, Binghamton, Saturday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Mary Alice may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 457 State St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13901; or the Living Care Fund of Good Shepherd Fairview Home, 80 Fairview Avenue, Binghamton, N.Y. 13904. Dear Curleys
Some of my best childhood memories are the times we spent on McNamara Ave. I'll always remember getting together with all the cousins,,,,playing football in the street in front of your house.....walking down to "mom's house " on Rollins St.....listening to the aunts and uncles harmonizing in your kitchen....it was all wonderful. Mary Alice was always a beautiful and calming presence. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
