You kind of wonder what goes thru the almighty's mind. It is hard for anyone to understand. Eric was one of a kind, a helper, a mentor and an all around good person, so someone else had a job for him. Just reading some of the excerpts in this guest book I learned even more about Eric's life and what impact he had on many many people. He will be missed but not forgotten.

I am so sorry to hear of Eric's passing. I believe he is the first boy I ever kissed! Might have been 12 or 13. What a GREAT friend he was growing up through Trinity, West Jr., and BCHS, and Thornefield. My prayers are with the family. It is such a tragedy to loose someone so young.

I am deeply sorry to hear of Eric's passing and offer my sincere condolences. Although I have been out of touch with him for many years I remember Eric fondly and especially recall how much he dearly loved his kids. He and I used to take turns babysitting each other's children on the weekends when Mark DeBellis's band was playing. He and Mark must be hanging out now in heaven and we will see them again someday.

I can't begin to tell you how big a loss Eric's passing is to the current and former members of the New York State Jaycees. Literally hundreds of us who were impacted by his friendship, dedication, hard work and humor are saddened now, but glad to have known him.

He was my friend and partner in many adventures across the country over the last 17 years and I'll miss him. Every gathering of Jaycees or outing on a golf course will have something missing forever.

I hope all of you, and especially Erika, Amanda and Scott, know how much Eric was loved by so many. We hope the pain of his passing is soon replaced by the comfort of good memories.

I knew Eric many years ago when he was a member of Summer Savoyards . I will always remember his warm and generous spirit. He was a great friend ! Although I had not seen him in many years, I saw the banner for him at last summers Relay and have been praying for him ever since. It was both heart breaking and heart warming to read the comments Eric's kids had written. Proof of what a great father he was. God Bless you all !
