Agnes Kohn
of Endwell
Agnes Kohn, 84, of Endwell and formerly of Straits Corners, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 11, 2008. She was born in Yonkers, N.Y. on February 18, 1924. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Kohn. Agnes is survived by daughter, Leonore Gill and her husband, Gene, Owego; daughter, Meredith Kohn Bocek and her husband, Frank, Owego; son, Mark Kohn and his wife, Tricia, Endwell; grandchildren, Emily (Gill) and John Crawford, Thuyha (Bocek) Pham, Allison Kohn, Mark J. Kohn, Michael Kohn; and great-granddaughter, Carsten Crawford. Agnes was very active and loved life. She had the gift of helping others. She will be missed by her children, family and friends. Agnes was a member of Germany Hill United Methodist Church and Endwell United Methodist Church, Master Gardeners of Broome County, Endwell League of Community Action (ELOCA) and active in the art of Tai Chi.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2008, at the Endwell United Methodist Church, 3301 Watson Blvd., Endwell. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Roger Richards officiating. Inurnment will be at Tioga Cemetery, Owego, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Humane Society, 2 Jackson Street, Binghamton, N.Y. 13903; or Stray Haven, 194 Shephard Road, Waverly, N.Y. 14892.

Agnes was a fellow intern in the master garden program. We would chat every Tuesday. She was interesting and funny. I am so sorry for your loss - she was so vibrant, I can't believe she has left us. My condolences. It was a pleasure to know her.

I am truely sorry for the passing of Agnes. I for one, enjoyed talking to her through the years before and after she moved to Endwell. We have all been blessed to have known her. She was such a gracious lady. My most sincerest symphathy all family and friends.
