Charles Tomlinson Obituary

Charles Tomlinson
of Endicott
Charlie, 78, went home to be with Jesus and his son, Chuck, Saturday, September 20th. Charles loved his Savior and faithfully read his bible every night. Ten years ago he gave up fishing, bowling and walking his dogs, as he lovingly took care of his wife at home who suffers from Alzheimer's. Charles had worked for The Sun and The Post in Md., The Tribune in Fla., and the Indianapolis Star in Ind. He had worked for the Press since he was 15. Charles was a loving, tender-hearted, humble man of integrity with a sense of humor and a friendly wave. We miss him dearly. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; daughter, Diana Helm (Paul, Daniel, Christina, Tyler and Emmalee); and his son's family, Legay, Jessica, Christopher, Sean and their families.
A memorial service will be held at Twin Orchards Baptist Church at 4 p.m., Thursday, receiving of friends at 3:30.
