Gerald Holbrook Obituary
of Great Bend, Pa.
Gerald C. Holbrook, 69, of Kime Apts., Great Bend, Pa., passed away suddenly on Friday, September 26, 2008, due to a car accident. He was born in Jackson Twp., Pa., the son of the late Frederick and Ruth (Spangenberg) Holbrook. Gerald was predeceased by his loving wife of 47 years, Shirley Marie Holbrook on October 5, 2005. He is survived by a son David G. Holbrook and Crystal Roe, Susquehanna, Pa., three daughters; Patricia L. and Darryl Heckman, Lehighton, Pa., Dian S. and Michael Jacobs, Lincoln, Montana, Julie M. Maginley, Susquehanna, Pa., one brother Richard and Donna Holbrook, one sister Judy and Russell Carpenter, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was retired from Dairy Farming and driving School Bus after 13 years of service for Blue Ridge School District. He was member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #794, Susquehanna, and a Fire Police for the Columbia Hose Company, New Milford, Pa.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hennessey's Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, with Pastor Blaine Detwiler officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeview, Pa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Julie and Family,
We miss you Dad so much. He quietly interacted with so many people here at Lakeside and he was loved and looked up to by all.
Our loss is monumental. Now he is wrapped in the loving arms of Our Lord.
