Lydia M. Wark
of Johnson City
Lydia M. Wark, 72, of Johnson City, died Monday, September 29, 2008, at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center after a short illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Maynard; and a daughter, Lydia. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Maynard and Judy Wark, Jr., Binghamton; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Paul Overby, Endicott; grandchildren, Stephanie and Bryan Wark, Sarah, Taylor, and Christopher Overby; and a great-grandson, Charles Maxson. She is survived by brothers and sisters, John and Deb Breon, Earl and Josephine Breon, Helen Corder and companion, Ernie, Midge and Robert Burress, Ruthie Pierce and companion, Gary; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Bernice and Richard Silvernail, Iris and Ralph Severcool, Jeanette Wark, and William and Margie Wark; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her favorite companion, Muffie. She was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Owego.
Funeral and Interment Services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. from the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Timothy R. Bennett, Pastor of the Main Street Baptist Church, Binghamton, will officiate. Burial will be in Tioga Center Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday from 5 p.m. until service time at 7 p.m.

Dear Aunt Lydia! What will we do with out you here with us! You were such a joy to be around. You made life so fun. There was never a dull moment. We will miss seeing you on our trips to NY! My kids will miss the joy of really getting to know their Great Aunt Lydia! I'm so happy that Tim let me in his life so that I was able to meet you! Tim will miss you dearly! Lydia was one of my three sisters who was always there for me when I needed her. When she was young she looked at Mom and said "Mom if you have any more kids I'm running away from home". I'm sure glad she didn't when I was born. Thanks Lydia for sticking around and being my big sister. You'll always be in my heart and in my thoughts. I miss you and love you very much. Dear Lydia, we have worked so much together during our lifetime that it is hard to realize you are gone from us. I think about you and want to tell you something but then realize I can't call you on the phone. Who is going to do my seamstress work now? Am I going to have learn to sew at this late date? Hi Sis:
It has only been 2 weeks since you left us and I miss you so much. I remember so many good times we had when we were growing up and miss the years I lived in California and didn't see you but once or twice a year. I missed my family and that is why I moved back to New York. You may be gone in body but I know you are here in spirit and watching over your family as you did while on this earth. I love you Sis.

Lydia, I think of you everyday, I just can't except you are not with us. I loved you very, very much. Our phone calls to each other, 3 or 4 times a day, I miss them so much, we shared so much together. I'm so glad God chose you to be one of my sisters, you touched alot of lives. You were always there when I needed you. Ernie and I will miss our lunches with you. I cherished the times us three spent together. We had alot of happy and fun times together. You left me with alot of cherished memories. Until we see each other again, you will never be out of my thoughts. I will always be there for your children and their families just as you were for mine. You were such apart of my family and they loved you so very much also. Ernie and I didn't get our chances to say how much we loved you, and what you meant to us in our lives.

It is hard to say good bye to one of my sibling. I have so many good memories of my sister, Lydia, along with the sad ones, when we lost some of our love ones in our family. I know I will always remember the things she had done for me in my life. She fitted into my life like a second mother, she being the oldest and a caring and loving sister. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for me if I asked her to. As the years go by, there will be many times when she will be on my mind, but one thing for sure the memories of her will be there forever. I can't express how much we will miss her and the hurt will go away after awhile but the love for her will always be in my heart. She left behind her family who loved her very much and I will always be there for them as long as I live. She was so proud of all her grandchildren and great grandson and their accomplishments. I know some day we will met again there in heaven and there will be no more pain,sorrow or tears. Until we met again Lydia. I will always love you and never forget you.

Growing up in JC, I vivdly remember Ms. Lydia, as a caring and compassionate person, full of life and always helping out some one, giving her best to those in need. I always heard wonderful things about her thru my aunt & uncle, Marjorie and Rubert Burruss.. Ms. Lydia you will be missed, but not forgotten. Great Aunt Lydiya, Oh the fond memories I have with her. I am so glad that I got to meet her when I did. I regret that I only got to meet her those 2 short times while I was in New York.
I will miss her very much. Both Her laughter and her smiling face. I will remember the time i played dress up at her house when I was staying with her for that one week while i was out there that one summer.

What a colorful soul you were! I must admit I never really met anyone quite like you! So........ unbelievably caring. So incredibly talented! The world in which we live in was truly blessed when you were born. I can say with the utmost sincerity that my "life" was made "brighter" everytime we were to see each other at various playing jobs. Thank you Lydia for being so caring! We will truly miss you!

Lydia's Family, Bud and I want to say how very sorry we are of Lydia's passing. She was so filled with life,love and fun. Whatever she could do for someone she was there to do it. Aunt lydia will be greatly missed. She was one of a kind. I will miss her dancing up a storm at the moose club. I really enjoyed seeing her each and every time I came home for a visit. Lydia was a special person and truly loved by all. We will remember the good times we had at the Owego Moose Lodge. She was one of a kind and enjoyed life to the fullest and loved to dance. When there was music, she was on the dance floor. She was very enthusiastic and loved to volunteer her time. We had many good times working side by side with her. There are a lot of memories that we will cherish. Lydia, we loved you and will truly miss your laughter and good times.
