of Shawsville, Va.
formerly of Buffalo, N.Y.
Joseph Anthony Trovata Sr., 92, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2008, after a long battle with lung cancer. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Angelina (Melodayo) Trovata. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Joey Jr. and Charlene (Esene) Trovata, Shawsville, Va.; daughter, Ann Vento, Buffalo; grandchildren, A.J. and Aleah Trovata, Salem, Va., Ashley Vento, Buffalo; great-grandchildren, Anthony Jr. and Ava Trovata, Salem, Va. Joe is also survived by sisters, Werdina Hamil, Betty Fontana, and Josephine Ciotoli, all of Endicott; along with many nieces and nephews in both N.Y. and Fla. Joe was born in Monaville, W.Va. and moved to Buffalo, N.Y. where he worked and retired from Ford Motor Company. He was a WWII Army veteran having fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 10, 2008, at 8:45 a.m. at the James V. DeMarco & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, N.Y. and continue at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the DeMarco & Son Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.

Joey, Char and Babe,
Joe, Tony and I want you to know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Uncle Joe added so much joy to our lives and his antics will always be a bright light in our lives. To know that he is at peace, without pain and especially with Aunt Angie is goodness. God Bless.
