Marion,Marnie & Jan,
Gil will always have a special place in my heart. Memories of the Lester Ave YMCA and learning the art of woodworking from Gil is still a huge part of my life. I remember all the items he helped me build, some that are still in my mother's home today. Bigger than that was his laugh and love of life which I carry with me today. He was a longtime friend to our family and will live forever in our hearts.
Always,
Larry Bell

Dear Marian, Marnie, Jan & Family,
I hope you know just how much the entire Sherman clan loved and will deeply miss Gil Kohl. I think over all the miles and years that we'e been separated we have always thought of you all as part of our extended family and always will. I will always remember that close bond that our dad's had dating back to their early military years. They were as close as brothers. Let's hope that Gil and Erm & Sherm have finally been able to rekindle that friendship in heaven. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Love,
Don & Bonnie

Marnie,
So sorry to read that your dad has passed away. Every time I am home and drive down St. Charles, I glance over at your parents house and think of all of you. So many times I have seen them sitting out on the porch together and thought about stopping to say hello. I am now sorry I didn't. My thoughts and prayers for you, Jan and your mom.

Marnie and Jan, I was saddened to see your Dad's obituary. He was quite a guy, so kind and what a sense of humor. I can still remember your mother, and expecially Janet calling him "Gil" The fond memories that I have of him and your mother on St. Charles Street. Jan and Marnie, you were the light of his life.

He is in a better place now, probably doing some kind of carpentry. My thoughts and prayers to your family. Roxanne Silvanic
