Gerald Hilts
of Binghamton
Gerald Hilts, 63, passed away on Monday, October 20th, 2008, after an extended illness. Gerry was the son of Francis and Lois Hilts and is survived by his brother, Joseph. Gerry also leaves behind many friends and caregivers at ACHIEVE including friends and staff at the Chapin Street IRA, CVI Workshop and Day Habilitation Programs. Gerry was previously employed at RSI and Country Valley Industries. Prior to residing at the Chapin Street IRA, he lived at the Broad Street IRA and Broome Developmental Center. Gerry truly loved to engage other people in conversation and always enjoyed his cup of coffee on the back porch. He will be remembered most for his hat collection and his remarkable memory of "oldies" recordings and artists.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at Allen Memorial Funeral Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be at Vestal Hills Memorial Park immediately following the service. Calling hours will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home until the time of the service.
