Ernest Newman Obituary
of Catatonk
Ernest L. Newman, 82, of Catatonk, passed away peacefully at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa., on Monday, October 27, 2008. Ernest is predeceased by his parents, Glenn and Maude Newman; brother, Ralph W. Newman; sisters, Gladys Marie Bakeman and Glenna Lee Newman who died at age 7 in 1937. Ernest is survived by brothers, Gerald (Linda) Newman, Lakeforest, Calif., Karl (Jane) Newman, Candor, Clifford (Doris Blackman) Newman, Newark Valley; sisters, Eleanor Newman, Catatonk, Florence (Edward) Roberts, Candor; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and good friend, Doug Miller, Danby. Ernie was an innovator and a thinker and he will be deeply missed.
