She is predeceased by Ramon Orange; her parents, Jerald and Geraldine Van Dunk; a brother, Gerald Van Dunk Jr. and two nephews, Mark and Robert Norris. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Banks and her husband Reginald; of Atlanta, Georgia; Stephen Orange and his wife Sarita, of Durham, NC, and Crystal Faber and her husband Richard also of Durham, NC; three grandsons, Brandon Chavis, Nicolas Nunez and Christopher Orange. She also leaves behind her sisters, Eleanor and Carl Norris, Delaware; Gwendolyn Van Dunk, Binghamton, Patricia and Freddie Cobbs, Raleigh, NC, Linda Hickman, Binghamton, Alfretta Van Dunk, Binghamton; and two brothers, Westley and Carmen Van Dunk, Binghamton, Larry Van Dunk, Sr., Binghamton; sister-in-law, Charlene Van Dunk, Binghamton and Anna Diaz, Binghamton; and a host of nieces and nephews. Beverly will also be missed by her dear and loving friends. Beverly was a Cosmetologist /Beautician that served the Triple Cities Area for over 40 years. She enjoyed doing hair and make-up as it allowed her artistic side to shine. She was a member of the Prince Hall Order of Eastern Stars-Sheba Chapter #3 and she was a Deconist at Trinity AME Zion Church. More importantly she was a true friend and a non-judgmental confidant.
The family will host a memorial service on October 27, 2007 at Trinity AME Zion Church, located at 203 Oak Street, Binghamton, NY. The service will begin at 4:00 p.m. For those wishing to send expressions of sympathy please send them to: Crystal Faber, 300 Mahone St., Apt. #18, Durham, NC 27713.
