Mary V. Hatala
of Johnson City
Mary V. Hatala, of Johnson City, passed away peacefully Monday, October 22, 2007, at Ideal Senior Living Center, Endicott. She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Hatala; and her parents, Mickolaj and Veronica Piotrowski. She is survived by a son, Terry Hatala, Jersey City, New Jersey; two sisters, Casmira (Cassie) Ceppa, Johnson City, Helen (Helena) Kramnicz, Renton, Washington; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Walter and Helen Piotrowski, Johnson City, Mary Gormish, Greene, N.Y. Mary was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church (now The Church of The Holy Trinity), a retired Endicott-Johnson shoe worker with over 20 years of service, and a member of the Johnson City Senior Citizens Center.
A funeral service will be held Friday, October 26, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Laskowski Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at The Church of The Holy Trinity, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Laskowski Funeral Home on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Arrangements and service by:

I used to live over on Jay St., right up from Mary's house, and I remeber when I was a kid, and it was snowing out, I would go over and snowblow her driveway and sidewalks for her. And during the summer, I would go over and mow her lawn for her. She was really nice, caring, just a really great person.
