Frances Gow Obituary

Frances C. Gow
of Binghamton
Frances C. Gow, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at the Susquehanna Nursing Center with her loving daughters by her side. Frances is predeceased by her husband, Arnold E. Gow and a sister, Mary Brooks. Frances is survived by her two beloved daughters, whom she cherished with all her heart, Sandi M. (Gow) Palmer, and Marjorie A. (Gow) and her husband Harold E. Wood. Two grandchildren, who she adored, Steven H. Wood and Julie C. (Wood) and her husband, Sean B. Connors, who in turn adored her. Also, a sister; Gertrude Hayes of Ellenton, Florida. Frances was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. She was a member of St. Andrew's Church, Binghamton, NY. Prior to losing her eyesight to macular degeneration, she loved to quilt, crochet and was an avid reader. Gram was a person who we would all turn to and she would always be there to help anyone who needed her. She was loved by all who met her. Often, we would say she was the nicest person we ever knew. Frances was a bookkeeper for Sam Kearing for many years. She loved numbers! We miss and love you Fran.
A funeral mass will be offered 9 am, Saturday, November 17, 2007 at St. Andrew's Church, Binghamton. Burial will be in Harford, PA Cemetery at 11 am. Friends may call Friday at the Thomas J. Dear Aunt Fran,
We remember all the good times we had on Roberts Road. We always will remember the Sunday masses at St Andrews Church, because, you sat in the same pew as we did. Could I ask a favor & give all the family hugs & kisses when you see them.
