Edward Casimer Bialczak, 83, of Endwell, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, after a long illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Teofil and Eleanor Bialczak; a son, Thomas Bialczak; and sister, Sophie Gruzlewski. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Evelyn Bialczak, Endwell; two sons and three daughters-in-law, Scott and Jean Bialczak, New Haven, Conn., Robert and Christine Bialczak, Lebanon, Conn., Candace Bialczak, Madison, Conn.; five grandchildren and a spouse, Aimee and Timothy Rudolph, Tolland, Conn., Susan, Scotty, Lindsay, and Joseph Bialczak, all of Conn.; two sisters, Lillian Buchinski, Cohoes, Cecelia Buczakowski, Syracuse; good friends, Linda and Kevin Petrosky, Endicott. Edward was a World War II Navy veteran who served in the Pacific. After working for many years and achieving numerous US patents as a chemist, he retired as Director of Research from Azon Corporation. Ed was a member of the American Chemical Society, a member of Chester J. Jaskiewicz American Legion Post 1305, and the Knights of Columbus. Edward provided fulfilling lives for his family.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:15 a.m. from Laskowski Funeral Home, and at 10:00 a.m. at Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Maine. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Laskowski Funeral Home, Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The family would like to thank Dr. Ronald Harris and nurse Debbie, Hospice nurse Cindy Glowacki, aide Elaine Brown, Sister Joanna, Sister Fredricka, and Hospice volunteer Patsey Strebel. Thank you to all of the Hospice staff and volunteers for a memorable 60th Wedding Anniversary.
