Helen Parker Obituary

Helen D. Parker
of Endicott
Helen D. Parker, 95, of West Corners, passed away on November 20, 2007. Helen was predeceased by her mother, Albina Burakewicz; her father, Julius Deresh; and a cousin, Walter Mazursky. Helen was a graduate of Classical High School and Worcester State Teachers College, Worcester, Mass., with a teaching degree. Helen worked as a staff assistant in the engineering drafting department at IBM. She retired in 1971 and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She is survived by her beloved cousin, Irene Yager Prawel, Daytona Beach, Fla.; and very special friends, Henry and Elizabeth Hagadorn, Apalachin. Special thanks to neighbors, Bob and Barbara Warpus who were very good to Helen. Also a very, very special thanks to all the staff at the Vestal Nursing Center for the outstanding care and love given to Helen while she was there.
A Committal Service for Helen D. Parker will be held Monday 1:00 p.m. at Vestal Hills Memorial Park in the Tower of Memories with the Rev. Matthew Brown officiating. Entombment will follow. Arrangements are by the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc.
