Mary E. Swidinsky
of Catawissa
Mary E. Swidinsky, age 75, of Catawissa, entered eternal rest Sunday, November 25, at her residence. Prior to moving to Catawissa in May 2006, she resided in Bloomsburg for 3 years, Florida for 2 years and the Poconos for 30 years. Mary was born December 12, 1931 in Summerville, N.J., the daughter of the late Philip and Natalie (Salmon) Blazier. She was a 1949 graduate of Bound Brook High School, N.J. Prior to her retirement in 1988, she was a secretary for a medical laboratory. She was a member of the Bloomsburg and Catawissa Senior Centers. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Swidinsky, February 11, 1988; and by three sisters. She was the last member of her immediate family. Mary is survived by her daughter, Gail Wellman and her husband, William, Great Bend, Pa.; a son, Glenn Swidinsky and his wife, Lisa, Stillwater; and three grandchildren, Jessica and Linda Swidinsky and Nathaniel Wellman, who were the light of her life.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 28, at 11 a.m. at the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg, with Pastor Thomas Fetterolf, retired Methodist Minister, officiating. Friends will be received prior to the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Laurel Wood Cemetery, Stroudsburg. The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions in her name are suggested to your local school library.
