I have such warm memories of times that our families were together. When my father was diagnosed with Leukemia in 1985, after a weekend and day of work trying to digest the information, I received a phone call from your mother. "Margaret, this is Peg Doty". I can never explain what that call meant to me. It was just such a comfort. We exchanged some letters and I cherish them.
I also remember one time, we were returning from a field trial with the dogs. Your dad said, "I don't want to be rich, just have enough money for a ten cent ice cream cone". I think of that everytime I pay three dollars for a cone.
Special people, both of them! I visited your folks once at Castle Gardens, and I want you to know that your mother has been in my prayers all these years. I have always felt that I was named for her.

Peg was an inspiration to us of how to live a faith-filled Catholic life.
When we lived in England she wrote us letters of Owego news so that we wouldn't get homesick! That was Peg, always thinking of others.
Our sympathy and love to all the family. You have a blessed role model to follow.

I'm so sorry I wasn't able to attend the calling hours tonight for your Mom, on behalf of our family. I would have liked to see all of you. The Moshier's and the Doty's go back a long way. We were all great friends and neighbors, and I am saddened by the loss of our Mothers and Fathers. Please accept my sincere condolences. My thoughts and prayers will be with all of you tomorrow, and in the days to come.

How lucky we are to have known Peg & Don. Young Ben's favorite words when learning to talk was "Peggy Doty". He would say them over and over. Our prayers are with her now as they were for many years before.

When I remember my days attending St. Patricks I remember Peg as a smiling, friendly lady...peace of christ..
