Frank Spacek Obituary
of Endicott
Frank V. Spacek, 83, of Endicott, passed away on December 10, 2007 after an extended illness. He was predeceased by his wife, Angelina in 1986; a brother, Tony; sisters, Helen, Mary, Frances, Anna and Irene. He is survived by four children, Jo-Anne (Peter) Ayres, Diane (Gino) Fiacco, Frank (Nancy) and Michael (Susan) Spacek; four grandchildren, Jennifer Chanitz, Joseph and Vincent Fiacco and Caitlin Spacek; one great-grandson, Jake Hamilton; a sister, Josephine VanRiper, North Carolina; also several nieces and nephews. Frank was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army in both the North African and European Theaters. He was also a member of the V.F.W. Post 1371, Owego and the Federated Alberobellese of North America. The family wishes to thank the staff on 2B at the Absolut at Endicott.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday 8 p.m. from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, Thursday evening from 5 p.m. until service time at 8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to Traci's Hope, P.O. 504, Apalachin, N.Y. 13732.

My heart goes out to you all. When I learned of the passing of dad and grampa tonight I hit my lifes rewind button and remembered the fun times with your family. Lost grampa Cook a while ago and I know your feelings at this time.
What got me through it was the happy memories. And you guy's have a truck load of them with dad and grampa.
I'll always remember a cold Genny on the front porch and a funny comment from him to you guy's.

Dear Michael, Frank, Diane, and Jo-Anne, I was deeply saddened to hear the news about your Dad. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. Being away from Endicott for so long it is truly sad news when you hear about the loss of a friend. As a kid, every time I came by, it was expected to see your Dad on the front porch greeting me as I would come by. I know he will be missed him greatly. To all my cousins on behalf of my family in Matthews, NC. Uncle Frank, your Dad, was one of my heros. He and your Mom provided a home to my brother, George, and I when things were not going well at home. He was always kind to us and treated us like his own. I will always remember his warm smile and the stories he would tell. He called me the Ensalada kid because salad was my favorite part of the great meals we all enjoyed together on so many Christmas eves. We will remember him fondly in our hearts and will always smile when we think of him. He is also a hero to us all as he served our country on his feet in Africa and Northern Europe. As a veteran, I salute my Uncle Frank. I am so sorry I can't join you, but due to my health over the last year, all of my time away from work has been consumed. It's so good to spend this Christmas healthy. Our prayers are with everyone there. Chet, Nancy, Matthew and Christy Soleto.
