Doris B. (Dietrich) Smith
of Whitney Point
Doris B. (Dietrich) Smith, 90, of Whitney Point, went to be with her heavenly father on Thursday, December 6, 2007. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Donald R. Smith, Whitney Point; one daughter, Dawn (Francis) Lamb, Horseheads, N.Y.; one son, Duane (Mary Ann) Smith, Sarasota, Fla.; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Lettie (Ceylon) Jones; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Doris was a longtime member of the Upper Lisle Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 12, 2007, at 3 p.m. from the Nichols Funeral Home, 7323 119th St., Whitney Point, N.Y., with Reverend Steve Mauser officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Upper Lisle Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Nichols Funeral Home on Thursday from 1 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Upper Lisle Baptist Church.

My prayers are with you all as you go through this time. I feel blessed to have spent some special times with Doris. I am thankful we will get to share more special times in Heaven. We can look forward to that promise.
