Evelyn Campbell Obituary
formerly of Apalachin
Evelyn Campbell, 86, of Frederick, Md., died on Saturday, December 8, 2007, at the Citizens Nursing Home in Frederick, Md. She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander Campbell; son, Kenneth Campbell; daughter-in-law, Cheryl A. Campbell; and sister, Eleanor Danser. She is survived by her sons, James R. Campbell, Lutz, Fla., Alexander D. Campbell, East Kingston, N.H., Robert T. Campbell and wife, Carol, Fayetteville, Pa., Bruce E. Campbell, Painted Post, N.Y.; and sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Jack Olson, N.C.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a founding member of the Park Terrace Community United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends from 12-1 on Friday, December 14 at the Park Terrace Community United Methodist Church, 30 Glann Road, Apalachin, N.Y. A Funeral Service will be at 1:00. Rev. Nicholas Kenney will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are by the Barber Memorial Home, Johnson City, N.Y.

We my weep at the loss of this loved one
She who has gone to her eternal home
We gather here for each other

A name that may not be remember
no fortune or fame did she know
Yet we know that she touched so many lives
and made a house a home
Evelyn a name that means a bird
has flown to her rest above
We know that in her quite way
she did a great work with great love
Fly now Evelyn fly away
let not your rest be troubled
For you in this life have given us
the cup filled over and doubled
A wit and gentle smile
she worked both day and night
Providing a place for family
in safety warmth and light
We will miss our favorite bird named Evelyn
Who raised her sons so well
A journey ended and a new one begun
All who listen know this from Christ’s living well
