David R. Allen
of Conklin
David R. Allen, 74, of Conklin, passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 11, 2007, at the NYS Veterans Nursing Home in Batavia, N.Y. He is predeceased by his wife, Frances M. Allen. He is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Diana and John Kindig, Batavia; son, Thomas Allen, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; daughter, Linda Allen; three grandchildren, Alexis and John Kindig, and David Allen. David was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Conklin, N.Y. where he sang in the choir. He was a Captain in the Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Loral as an engineer. David was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and cherished friend. He touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by all.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Conklin Presbyterian Church on Saturday, December 15, at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon to celebrate his life and share memories will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Conklin Presbyterian Church, 1175 Conklin Rd., Conklin, N.Y. 13748.
