ALLEN SR., GEORGE G. 78 - on November 5, 2009, of Marmora. Beloved husband of Rosemary (nee Chevalier). Loving father of George (and wife Debbie), Tom (and wife Debbie), Gary, and the late Susan and Patricia. Devoted grandfather of Danielle, Keith, Chris, Heather, and Greg. Great grandfather of Amber and Giovanni. George was an Ocean City Life Guard for three years before joining the Navy. He served active duty from 1952 -1956 on Airship Squadron Three, NAS in Lakehurst, and remained in the reserves until 1960. He was a volunteer firefighter and lifetime member of Station 16-1 in Collingswood since 1959, a volunteer firefighter and fire policeman for Station 15-1 in Marmora since 1995. George was a manager, coach, and umpire for Collingswood Little League, a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America, a Committeeman for the Cape May County Republicans, and was a small aircraft pilot for many years. He retired as plant manager for Cocoa Barry, in Pennsauken. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing Tuesday 6:30-8pm at the Blake-Doyle Funeral Home, 226 Collings Ave, Collingswood. Service at 8pm. Interment will be private. The family requests memorial contributions to Collingswood Fire Dept, 20 W. Collings Ave, Collingswood, 08108 or Marmora Fire Dept, Tuckahoe Road, Marmora, NJ 08223
