Rita Hamel Obituary
Born in Biddeford, ME, she was a daughter of the late George J. Sr., and Ernestine (Canuel) Breton.
Mrs. Hamel worked for the A. T. Cross Co., of Lincoln for 20 years, retiring in 1983. Previously she had worked at the former Lister Worsted Co.
Rita leaves a daughter Sandra Carlton of Smithfield, three grandchildren, Stacey J., Thomas W., and Patricia L. Carlton, a great-grandchild Ella Carlton, a sister Elaine DiBenedetto of Johnston and a brother George J. Breton Jr. of North Providence. She was the companion of the late John DeChristofero.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8 A.M. from the ROBBINS FUNERAL HOME, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 A.M. in St. Michael Church, Georgiaville. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8 P.M. Burial in St. Ann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
