Hard to believe you have been gone so long.
As your Physician Assistant from 1980 to 1985, as I look back on my career, I cannot think of another Chief who treated me with as much respect as you did.
You even went so far as to write a letter to my folks to let them know I was doing well in my new profession. Who does that?
You did and I miss those late nights in the OR working with you.
Rest in eternal peace Gus.

Dr. Stoll operated on me when I was 13 months old to repair my menigocele. My parents had been told that I would probably not walk, but 2 weeks later I stood up in the crib. I have had 18 orthopedic surgeries to correct deformities of the feet-Dr. Stoll did not perform those surgeries but sent me to Dr. Kenneth Burton. I would have been in a wheelchair if my feet had not been corrected. I will pray for this courtly, kind gentleman and his family for my wonderful, mobile life.

I had the pleasure of meeting and being treated by Dr Stoll, he was truly a great doctor and a fine gentleman. He was my husbands doctor for over 30 years and when I started having back trouble my husband recommended Dr Stoll. He was the best.

I was a patient of Doctor Stoll's from 1977and he operated on me after a fall from my horse. He put a Vitallium plate in my head after I had a depressed skull fracture. He was the kindest and most sincere doctor and I shall never forget him. When I was a patient of his at Jane Brown he came to my bedside every day of the week and he sat down beside my bed.It was as if he had all the time in the world, even though he had a very busy schedule, to spend with me and he encouraged me by telling me that I would be just fine. He was a very fine man and I was very honored to have known him.
My Deepest Sympathy to everyone in his family.
Most Sincerely, Barbara Renza

A wonderful man and brilliant Doctor, Dr. Stoll performed surgery on me when I was just two years old. I continued to be his patient through my teenage years. Even though I am in my early fifties now, my family and I never forgot this caring man who helped me when I was so young.

I will forever be grateful to Dr. Stoll, and shall always remember him. In 1979, his keen eye had noticed an abnormality with my infant son's head, who was, at the time, in the Potter's Unit at RIH under another specialist's care. After consultation, Dr. Stoll performed surgery on my son a few weeks later, and ultimately saved his life by doing so. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family of this truly wonderful man. This world was a much better place with him in it.

I was a patient of Dr Stoll's for over 30 years. He was the one of the finest men I have ever met in my life. Words cannot describe my feelings towards him. I have never met a doctor as great as he was in my 71 years.
