Alexander Krueger Obituary
Born in Providence, he was the son of Mary Jean 'M.J.' (Miniati) Krueger, of Cranston and Todd A. Krueger, of Providence. He had lived in Cranston all of his life.
Alex attended Meeting Street School and was a member of St. Paul Church in Cranston. A very happy and loving child, his infectious smile touched the lives of everyone he met. Alex loved people, playing with his brother and friends, swimming, sailing, swinging, sledding, riding his new bike, participating in triathlons, and playing at the beach.
Besides his parents he leaves, a brother Kevin Peter Krueger, of Cranston; his loving caregiver, Adriana Viveiros, and her family, of North Providence; his maternal grandparents, Peter and Rosemary Miniati, of Barrington; his paternal grandparents, Gil and Carol Krueger, of Walnut Creek, CA, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
A Mass of the Angels will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Paul Church of Edgewood, 1 St. Paul Pl., Cranston. Burial will be in Mount St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad Street at Park Avenue, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Alex's Smile Fund c/o Meeting Street School, 667 Waterman Ave., E. Providence, RI 02914, or by logging on to www.meetingstreet.org.

It's been a while now that I have not written to you, I've been so busy with work. I can't believe that Christmas is already here, I just want you to know that we all miss you so much, and there is not a day that goes by that we do not think of you. I haven't been able to find the right tree topper that I wanted for our Christmas tree, but guess what? My mother in law Nancy, made me this beautiful red bow, and I stuck your picture right below, and made you our tree topper :) Kevin also gave me such a beautiful ornamnet, I hung it up right next to you. We love you so much, and I know that your Mom is missing you now more then ever. Merry Christmas Alex.

To my Dearest Family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;

I have dedicated a brick in Alex's name that will be displayed in April along with hundred's of other bricks at Rhode Island Hospital in memory of loved ones.For the those who don't know who I am, I am Adriana's oldest daughter Jennifer. Alex to my sister and I was "Our Little Brother," and we were so blessed to have been part of his life. Alex will always be remembered, especially cherished in all of our hearts. The bricks will be along a garden walkway, if perhaps your ever in the hospital and you would like to stop by and see it. Much love to you Mj, and your family.

I miss Alex so much. The other night when Kevin stayed over, and I walked through the house and didn't notice any of Alex's things it broke my heart. I miss seeing him and seeing him smile and laugh. I loved meeting Alex at Marie's spring show when Kevin and the rest of the class were singing under the trees. Alex was singing along and smiling and having a great time.
