Thomas Devine Obituary
Born in Cranston, a son of the late Edward F. and Gertrude M. (Bolduc) Devine, he lived in Cranston until moving to North Scituate 33 years ago. An Eagle Scout, he was a graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School and Rhode Island College.
Mr. Devine was the Vice-President of Facilities Management at Boston College, where he was employed for the last 14 years. He was previously the Director of Facilities and Operations at the University of Rhode Island. Earlier, he was employed at the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics Corporation at Quonset Point.
Mr. Devine was a former vice- president and coach of the Scituate-Foster Little League. He was a member of the Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jeffrey T. Devine of Boston, MA and Eric J. Devine of North Scituate; two sisters, Marilyn A. Mazzeo of Alexandrea, VA and Patricia M. Lage of Warwick; a brother, James E. Devine of Venice, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 25, at 7:45 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Mark Church, Garden City, Cranston. Visiting hours are Tuesday 3-7 p.m. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to your favorite charity.

Carol, My deepest sympathy; Tom was a great guy. My last memory of Tom was a happy one -- your visit to Florida in March. It was one last opportunity to lose another $5 to Tom on the golf course, do some boating with old BC buddies and laugh a lot, and, of course, one final chance for us to solve all the problems at BC.
