Robert Stewart Obituary

STEWART, ROBERT H., 90, of Montgomery Street, died Tuesday in Kent Hospital, Warwick. He was the beloved husband of the late Enid E. (Follett) Stewart.

Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late John and Hetty (Hainsworth) Stewart. He had lived in Warwick since 1952, previously residing in Pawtucket.

Mr. Stewart was an advertising representative for the Providence Journal Bulletin for over 30 years, before his retirement. He served in the US Marine Corps during World War II, and received the Purple Heart for wounds received in combat in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater.

He is survived by several loving nieces, nephews, and close friends.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Greenwood, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited and may call one hour prior to the service. www.murphyfuneralhomes.org
