Barbara McCormick Obituary

McCORMICK, BARBARA S. (FITZGERALD), age 78 of Tanglewood Lane and formerly of Jupiter, FL, passed away on June 21st at RI Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Joseph R. McCormick.

Born in Newport, a daughter of the late Patrick and Sylvia (Domenique) Fitzgerald. Before retirement, Mrs. McCormick was employed by the City of Providence as Accounts Payable Supervisor. She was a member of No. Providence and Narragansett Senior Centers. She was a loving and caring person who will be missed by many.

Besides her husband of 60 years, she is survived by a son Richard G. McCormick and wife Jean of Johnston, a daughter Nancy B. Antoske and husband Thomas of Narragansett. She was the mother of the late Robert J. McCormick and his wife Patricia of Johnston. Grandmother of her four loving grandchildren, Maureen, Neal, Elizabeth and Richard. She was also the sister of the late Richard Fitzgerald.

Her funeral will be held on TUESDAY at 8 a.m. from The RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON Funeral Home 142 Centerville Rd., WARWICK, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston at 9:30 a.m., Interment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
