Christine Francesconi Obituary

FRANCESCONI, CHRISTINE (MASTRIANI), 94, of Narragansett, died peacefully on June 21, 2008 surrounded by her loving family at the Scallop Shell Nursing Center in Peace Dale. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph J. Francesconi.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Tullio and Ann (Alteiri) Mastriani.

She was a product coordinator in the jewelry industry before retiring to her home in Narragansett 35 years ago.

She was the devoted mother of Richard DiFranco and his wife Dorrie White, Joanne Julian, and Jan O'Kelley and her husband Richard McCorkle; her five grandchildren, Jerry Julian, Christine Hemingson, Patrick O'Kelley, Brian O'Kelley and Jennifer Cormier; and four great grandchildren, Meghan O'Kelley, Sam, Emi and Tori Cormier. She was the dear sister of Leonora Avarista and the late Ralph Mastriani.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church, 864 Pt. Judith Rd., Narragansett, followed by interment at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: RI Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Ave., Providence, RI 02909.
