Ronald Tracey Obituary
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph L. and Grace B. (Becken) Tracey.
Mr. Tracey was a Telecommunications Engineer for New England Telephone Co. for 48 years until his retirement. He served in The United States Navy during the Korean War. He attended U.R.I. and was an alumnus of Northeastern University. Mr. Tracey was a member of U.D.T., now the Navy Seals, was a lifetime member of the American Legion and V.F.W. He served 2 terms as president of The Greenwich Club and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
He was the loving father of Kristen Ann Mauk and her husband Jeffrey of Coventry and the cherished grandfather of Gillian Stirling Mauk.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:30 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Gregory The Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday 5-8 pm.
