Alfred Oakes Obituary

OAKES, ALFRED W., 79, of Cranston Street, died Wednesday at his home.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Gray) Oakes. Alfred was a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his three sons, Alfred W., David L. and Joseph J. Oakes. Brother of the late Charles, Edward, Joseph and Francis Oakes, Catherine Mathewson, Ann Paradis and Isabelle Raposa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9 a.m. in St. Catherine Church, Post Road, Appponaug. Arrangements by Russell J. Boyle & Son, Warwick. boyleandsonfuneralhome.com
