Janet Stansbury Obituary
Born in Lexington, MA, a daughter of the late Donald and Janet (McMillan) Cameron, she has lived in Barrington for 50 years and Cape Cod. She was employed as a tax Clerk in the Barrington Town Hall, and was a Communicant of St. John's Episcopal Church in Barrington.
She leaves two daughters, Janet Hall Christ (Bonnie) and her husband, George F. Christ (Fritz) of Barrington and Joyce N. Hall of Pawtucket, a step son, William Stansbury and his wife Eleanor of Viola, DE, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren. She was also the step mother of the late Barbara Barnett.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 30th at 11:00 AM in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willett Avenue, Riverside. Burial will be in Forest Chapel Cemetery in Barrington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 169 George Street, Pawtucket 02860 or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. As the last of my dad's siblings, Aunt Janet was always a reminder of the special character and values that make up the Cameron Clan. Her love of family and unassuming personality we will cherish always. Grandpa and Grandma Cameron, my dad Alex, his siblings Don, Hugh, Jean and Charlie are together again, and I know they welcomed her home.
