Rose Sauro Obituary
Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Antonetta (Ferra) Piccoli.
Rose was employed for many years at Beau-Craft Inc. She also worked at the Nicholas Ferri Middle School as a lunch coordinator.
She was the matriarch of the family. She enjoyed cooking, being with her family and going to Foxwoods.
She was the devoted mother of Corrine Ambrosino, Lorraine Scungio, and Joanne Lupo and her husband John all of Johnston; sister of Albert and Alfonso 'Gino' Piccoli, Filomena 'Phyllis' Aiello, and Arlene Russo all of Johnston, and the late Salvatore, Adolph, Andrew, Fiorio, and Michael Piccoli, Mary Cipriano, Matilda Ferraro, and Lucy Calitri; loving grandmother of Lorie, Gina, Jacen, and Selaina; great grandmother of 4.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Rocco's Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Graveside burial to follow in St. Ann's Cemetery. VISITATION FRIDAY 4-8 PM. For online condolences, visit www.mem.com.

To Mrs. Sauro's entire family, My deepest sympathy to each of you. Mrs.Sauro was one of the kindest and most peaceful individual's I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Her compassion for her family and love for them as well was nothing less than exceptional and flawless. I remember her great cooking, long talks and most of all her motherly way of always making you feel right at home. She was truly a very very special person to have known. Thank You all for that great opportunity , I will always treasure my memories and thoughts of Mrs. Sauro.
