Mitchell E. Geller

GELLER, MITCHELL E., 81, of Glengrove Ave., died Saturday at RI Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Jean (Krasnow) Geller. They were married for 50 years.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Jacob and Ida (Palotnick) Geller, he had lived in Cranston for 46 years, previously living in Warwick. He was employed by U.S. Rubber as a sales production coordinator. He was later employed by Rau Findings & Fastener Company as a purchasing agent. Mitchell was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps during WWII and served in the American and European Theatres. After completing his service, he continued his education at URI and graduated in 1951. He was a member of The Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity. He was a docent at Roger Williams Park Zoo and Museum. He was a member of Flotilla 78 in the US Coast Guard Aux. and a member of the American Legion. He was a member of Cranston Senior Center, Temple Sinai, Jewish War Veterans Post 23 and Touro Fraternal Association.

Devoted father of Lorri L. Perry and her husband Carl of Manassas, VA, Arnold M. Geller and his wife Maureen of Warwick, Meri R. Kennedy of Cranston and the late Robert L. Geller. Loving grandfather of Jillian, Deanna, Jennifer, Joshua and David.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in Sinai Memorial Park, 100 Harrison Ave., Warwick. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Temple Sinai, 30 Hagen Ave., Cranston, RI 02920. Shiva will be private.
