Theodore Curtis Obituary

CURTIS, THEODORE A., 83, former Warwick Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools, died Sunday, July 6, 2008.

He was the beloved husband of Mary A. (Smith) Watson-Curtis and the late Florence M. (Gormley) Curtis.

He served as Principal of Nausauket School for several years before serving as Director of Elementary Education. He was a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran serving in the European Theater.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Peter F. Curtis, Colleen M. Thornton and Siobhan M. Curtis. Step-children Steven, Craig and Judy Watson. Grandfather of Sean Curtis, Thomas and Caitlin Thornton. Great-grandfather of Ethan Curtis. Brother of Genevieve Pulliam.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 AM in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery with military honors. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Arthritis Foundation-Southern NE Chapter, 2348 Post Rd., Warwick, RI 02886 will be appreciated.
