I went to High School with Stanley. We used to play on the Tennis team together and often walked home together as well. He was a fantastic person with a great sense of humor. Continued thoughts and prayers to the family. PS: His mom was a trip. She is also up in heaven very proud of both of her sons and their families.

Dear Linda,
I am just now seeing this very sad report of Stan's untimely passing. I was looking you both up for a reunion of the AWTC to celebrate the new tennis center in GG Park.
I hope the intervening years have been kind to you. I know how much you and Stan were devoted to one another and count my tiny role in your story as a mitzvah.
If you are so inclined, I would be so happy to meet and express my condolences in person. [email protected] Peace to you. KC

Wow... how does one sum up nearly a lifetime of friendship in such a small space. We had so many great times at Tufts and though we saw each other and wrote infrequently, we could always start right where we had left off.

Love you, Stan. I'm thinking about you! Charlie Seymour Jr.

I just learned of Stan's passing. I didn't get to know Stan as well as I'd have liked, but upon first meeting him, it was clear he was an especially good hearted gentleman--always a smile and kind word. He had a real knack for making others feel special on and off the tennis court. We will miss him.

Linda,
Stan was like a member of our family as we grew up on Woodbine Street. My childhood memories are filled with his wonderful smile and goofy sense of humor.
I am deeply saddened by his death. Stan was smart and generous and kind and I will truly miss him.

Linda,
Stan will always be remembered warmly by his friends near and far. He
was a genuinely wonderful guy, whose modesty, kindness and good humor
were his trademarks. I will miss him -- my oldest and dearest friend.

Much can be said about Stan, and it would all be good, which is all I will remember. A bright guy who was talented in many ways. I hope Stan's family can take comfort knowing that true friends of Stan's such as Paul, Ricky and David have remembered Stan at this time. Peace to all.

I was deeply sadden to hear about Stan's passing. While we lost touch with another after graduation, I will never forget our study group times in the early days of coping with Harvard B School. We got thru it and Stan always maintained his sense of humor. A great individual with a lot of heart. My thoughts and prayers go to his close family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear of Stan's passing. Please know that my family's thoughts and prayers are with you. Hopefully as time goes by, you will remember the happy times as thoughts of Stanley remain in your heart. I played tennis with Stan in high school. He was in some of my classes. Sometimes we walked home together. Stan was always jolly, pleasant and nice.

I grew up with Stanley on Woodbine St in Providence...we were all part of the Woodbine St gang and had great times in school, at Seekonk Swim club and just hanging out...although I hadn't seen Stanley for many years, I have nothing but great memories of he and his family.

Linda,
Like David Summer, I also went to school (K-12) in Providence with Stanley which is what we called him back then. He was best man at my wedding in 1979. We had some great times together and when he was at Tufts I'd come up from URI and we'd go see professional wrestling at the old Boston Garden or go bowling at 3am in Dorchester at the all night alleys after we had breakfast at 1am so we could sleep late in the morning. I'm not sure I would have passed math in high school without his help. He was the smart one for sure! We lost touch with each other over the years but I have nothing but great memories from the old days in Providence. My sympathies to you and to Carl who I also knew very well.

Linda,

I went to school with Stan in Providence and remember his intelligence and humor. We also went to Woodstock together and will always have fond memories of him.

Linda, both you and Stan have endured this trial with such love and grace, good humor and a passion for life that is amazing. The smartest thing Stan ever did was to marry you....you both are inspirations to all who knew you. Stan was a most unforgettable character, so much fun and always wanting to make anyone in his presence feel welcomed and special. Together you two were a special couple that we will treasure having had the good fortune to know.

Dear Linda,
Rich and I were so saddened to hear of Stan's passing. We followed your trials and tribulations through Stan's blog. He was so fortunate to have you for the past 18 years and especially so these past couple of very tough years. I remember the last time I saw Stan was at Jackie Langelier's bat mitzvah...He really looked the picture of health and most importantly, so happy. That is how I will remember him. Please know that you are and have been in our thoughts during this difficult time. Fondly, Rich and Chris
