Claire Blackmer Obituary
Mrs. Blackmer was a communicant of St. Kevin Church and a former member of St. Kevin Women's League and the Daughters of Isabella. She was the beloved mother of Richard B., David V., and Gary L. Blackmer. Sister of Bertha M. Francis, Victoria E. Ellis and the late Helen V. Bragger. Grandmother of Richard, Michelle, Rebecca, Christopher, William, Robert, Caileigh and Mackenzie. Great Grandmother of Alex, Erin and Sean. Claire will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick, RI 02889 will be appreciated. We are so sorry for your loss. Auntie Claire was truly a remarkable woman, always a smile on her face. She was very loved by all and will be missed by all that knew her. She's in a special place.

Gary and Family both Melissa and I are very sorry for your lost.
He Only Takes the Best
God saw she was getting tired
and a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around her
and whispered, "Come with Me".
With tear-filled eyes we watched her
suffer and fade away.
Although we loved her deeply,
We could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
