Constance Sawyer Obituary

SAWYER, CONSTANCE 'CONNY' (CROOKS), 72, of Laurel Lane, No. Smithfield, died Thursday, July 10, 2008. She was the wife of Walter H. Sawyer, Jr. whom she married October 12, 1957. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Corona (DeTonnancourt) Crooks.

Mrs. Sawyer worked for nineteen years for Bryant College, Smithfield, retiring in 1997 as a Faculty Coordinator.

Along with her husband, she is survived by three sons, Walter, Phillip and Russell Sawyer, a sister, Bertine A. Galipeau, and three grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held Monday, July 14, 2008 at 10:30AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, Church St., No. Smithfield. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 4 to7pm.
