Anthony Conti Obituary

CONTI, ANTHONY L., 90, formerly of Belmont Ave. died July 12, 2008, on his 90th birthday. He was the husband of the late Lucille (Tellier) Conti and the late Frances (Raposa) Conti.

Born in East Providence he was the son of the late Angelo and Lucia (Lombardi) Conti.

He worked as a laborer for Gilbane Construction Co. until retiring and was a member of Local 271 for 69 years.

He is survived by his son; Anthony L. Conti Jr.and daughter-in-law Kathleen Conti of Warwick, his daughter Eileen Sims of Las Vegas and his stepdaughter Denise Manchester of Providence. He is survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was the brother of Philomena Caprarelli of East Providence, John Conti of Cranston and the late Sebastian 'Buster' Conti and Margaret 'Peggy' Maggiacomo.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8 A.M. from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway East Providence, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 A.M. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, Waterman Ave., East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in his memory be made to Linn Health Center, Activities Dept., 30 Alexander Ave., East Providence, RI 02914. www.rebellofuneralhome.com

Probably one of the hardest working men I have ever known. Very devout and a wonderful husband to my sister, Lucille. Our sincere sympathies to you, Tony, Jr. & Kathy and the entire family. May he rest in peace in God's loving arms.
