Howard Blake Obituary
Born in Lawrence, MA, a son of the late Howard and Ruby Marshall Blake, Sr. He was a Rumford resident for 25 years before moving to Providence.
He attended Moses Brown and Brown University. He was an Army veteran of the Korean war. He was a substance abuse counselor at the Good Hope Center in West Greenwich for 15 years before retiring in 1995. His first career was in textile machinery sales for the family owned Blackstone Webbing of Pawtucket.
He is survived by his son, Chris Blake of Forelaview, PA, daughters, Carolyn Mac Andrew of Warwick and Patty Nichols, PPD of Greene, a granddaughter, Jessica Blake of Seekonk, MA.
Their funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Redwood Chapel at Swan Point Cemetery, Blackstone Blvd. to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 169 George St., Pawtucket, RI 02860. Condolences may be sent to monahandrabblesherman.com
