Maureen McHugh Obituary

McHUGH, MAUREEN A., of Ninth Street, died Monday at the Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of Thomas H. McHugh. They were married for thirty-two years.

Born in Providence, a daughter of Margaret (McKenna) Skelly of Providence and the late Harold Skelly, she lived in Providence most of her life.

Maureen was a registered nurse for many years and worked in several health care facilities during her career.

Besides her husband, and mother, she leaves a daughter, Jamie McHugh; two sons, Tommy McHugh and Brian McHugh; and two brothers Harold Skelly and Kevin Skelly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning, at 10:00 am, in Saint Raymond Church, 1240 North Main Street, Providence, to which relatives and friends are invited. Inurnment will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886 in her memory would be appreciated.
