Helen Fallon Obituary

FALLON, HELEN BOLSTER, 78, died of cancer Monday in the Newport Hospital. She was the wife of John S. Fallon. Born in Cranston a daughter of the late John A. and Helen (Keefe) Bolster and granddaughter of the late Dr. John W. and Statia Keefe, she was a Jamestown resident for 10 Years.

She was a graduate of the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Elmhurst in Providence and Manhattanville College. She earned a Masters in Library Science from Simmons College in Boston. She worked at the Providence Public Library, Yale University and Rhode Island College. She served as a volunteer at St Philomena School, Wheeler School and Moses Brown School as well as at the Department of Counselor Education at the University of Florida. She was a former member of the Pt. Judith Country Club, University Club, the Newport Country Club, Ida Lewis Yacht Club and the Dodger Pines Country Club in Vero Beach, FL.

Besides her husband she is survived by two children, Andrew M. Fallon of Portsmouth and Kathleen M. Fallon of Rochester, NY, and a sister in law; Wendy Bolster of Jamestown. She was the sister of the late Richard, Thomas and James Bolster and niece of the late Gertrude and Mary Keefe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11am in St Marks Church, Jamestown. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Newport Hospital Foundation, 11 Friendship St., Newport, R.I. 02840, in honor of the wonderful care she received.
