To the Pezzatti Family,
The certainty of hope that his spirit lies between the arms of God, hopefully, gives comfort to you in this painful moment. He was a special man.
He left this world, but he still lives.

Dear uncle Gianni,
what a terrible news we had….
It’s very sad to know you are not here, no more, but fortunately we have a lot of memories…
Grandmother Amelia remembers when aunt Laura met you and together you began a new life in America, in Connecticut…
…an adventure that became a wonderful adventure with a new family…
Now you are in peace and you can rest!
But we are sure: you are next to our father and grandfather Paolo and you both laugh heartily as you did when you were together.
Be an angel for all your family!

TO THE PEZZATTI FAMILY,
ANGELICA AND INES,
I WAS SHOCKED AND VERY SADDENED TO LEARN ABOUT JOHN'S PASSING. HE WAS JUST HERE AT THE LAB A MONTH AGO. JOHN WAS SUCH A NICE MAN, SO QUIET AND ALWAYS SMILING. WE WILL MISS JOHN VERY MUCH. I'M SORRY I COULD NOT ATTEND THE SERVICES, BUT I WAS AWAY. ANGELICA, PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND I HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON.

Laura,
Please accept my deepest sympathies to you for the loss of your father. My thoughts are with you, your mom, and your family during this very difficult time. I could tell that your father was a very special person and that he was well loved and respected by his family and friends. I hope you will find comfort from the memories of the years you shared together as a family. I pray that you will find comfort in knowing that he was spared from any further pain and that he is happy in Heaven.
May God comfort you in your grief and remember that you are not alone in your sorrow; your friends share your loss and pain.

Dad,
You have been our rock, silent, strong, and dependable. You always put others first, never complained, and never placed demands on others. How can we begin to measure how much you mean to us? Our hearts are broken. The huge loss we feel is tempered with the fact that we know you are in a better place. Rest in the peace of God's love, Dad, your eternal heavenly home where all of God's children reside. We love you and miss you.

Dad as I sit here trying to write how I feel about your great loss to our family. I know mom and I did not get to say goodbye. We thought you were coming back to us.Dad thanks for everything you done for me. I will never forget you. I know you had to be in more pain then we thought. Only you knew how much and I guess you couldn't fight anymore.I know you are painless now and in peace with God. And i defintely know you will watch over me and mom. What we are having a very hard time to accept is how you were ripped away from your family in such a short time.I feel in my heart you gave me a sign the other nite to tell me you were alright and not in pain anymore.Dad I will love you forever.

God blessed us with grandpa's presence, his love and his strength, for all these years. I just never thought that we would be without him. After all, everyone he really knew him would agree he was only 88 years young, not old.
God has blessed our family in so many ways, and those blessings will continue just in a different way now. We may not see Grandpa or be able to hear his voice, but he hears ours and he sees us from the best view anyone could ever have. I will and do feel his presence, strength and love, just in a different way thanks to God.

Dear Laura:
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My heart goes out to all of you as I know what it is like to loose someone so dear. He is with God now and is in a much better place with no more pains and at peace. It is hard to understand why God does this but we must rely on our faith to get us through times like these. You will remember your father in all of your memories that you shared with your family and remember he will always be there for you as I know my parents still watch out for me when I need them to. May God Bless you and your family and give you strength to move forward and rejoice in your father's life here and everlasting life with God. Love, Gail Silva

I know how hard it is to loose a loved one. They are always watching over us. Zio is at peace and can watch over all of us with Mario, Angelo (Nonno) and Nonna Silvia.
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
