Gilbert Ricci Obituary

RICCI, GILBERT D., 77, of Shippee Schoolhouse Road, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 19th at the Rhode Island Hospital.

Born in North Providence, he was the son of the late Angelo and Theresa (Pate) Ricci and the husband of the late Chiyoko (Yamakawa) Ricci.

Mr. Ricci was a heavy equipment operator before retiring. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.

He was the father of Suzanne M. Borino; grandfather of Alicia L. and Alex G. Borino; brother of Nathan 'Sonny', Robert, Angelo and Anthony Ricci, Ann Moran and the late Dorothy Amaral.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 9 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Interment with Military Honors will take place in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Arrangements by PONTARELLI-MARINO.
