Barbara West Obituary

WEST, BARBARA (COFFEY), age 81, of Swansea died Wednesday, July 23, 2008 in Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of Charles E. West to whom she had been married for 55 years.

She was born in Fall River the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Clark) Coffey and a graduate of the former Sacred Hearts Academy in Fall River. Mrs. West was employed as a Telephone Operator with the former New England Telephone for several years.

Mrs. West was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, a former member of the Fall River Women's Club, the former Four Knightly Society in Fall River and the Country Garden Club of Swansea. She enjoyed sailing and gardening.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter Priscilla Lyons of Westwood, MA and a son Peter West of Ann Arbor, Michigan, two grandchildren Elizabeth and Patrick Lyons; two sisters Margaret Connor of East Granby, CT and Bertha Beliveau of Swansea, several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 9am from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea.
