John Apici Obituary

APICI, JOHN A., 83, of Foothill Street, Spring Hill, Florida, passed away Thursday July 24, 2008 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the husband of Gena (Macari) Apici.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Angelo and Rosina Apici. Mr. Apici worked as a chef for What Cheer Catering for many years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #186 of Brookville, FL.

Besides his wife he is survived by his two daughters Rose Marie Kennedy of Sevierville, TN and Jean L. Bettencourt of North Providence, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, his two sisters Rose Poletelli of Cranston and Emma Urbani of Providence. He was the father of the late Angelo J. Apici and brother of the late Pat, Guido, Frank and Edward Apici, Angelina Cerullo and Mildred Perrotti.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Roccos Church Atwood Avenue, Johnston at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting Hours Monday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Home & Hospice Care of RI, 169 George Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860-9924.
